Comic Con a go or a no also Instagram live?

I’m not sure if i talked about this previously and maybe i touched on it, but i know a while back i talked about how i was going to comic con in April. Obviously ( in Severus Snapes voice ) I didn't get to go because hello Covid-19.  Right now Indiana Comic Con is postponed until the end of June which I’m excited that it didn’t get cancelled all together because that would have sucked. As of right now Tom Felton ( Draco Malfoy) is still going to be there which is the only reason I’m going this time.  I have never been to a comic con where I actually got to meet the celebrity. There was one time that I and a bunch of kids I went to school with went to a comic con in Chicago but we didn’t get past the “gates” so we hung around outside the “gates” inside that part of the building getting pictures with cosplayers. I think I talked about this in one of my previous blogs but for anyone who didn’t read that blog basically that Comic Con was going on in the same building as the...

Does it have to be all negative?

Image
Past two weeks I’ve focused on the negative parts on this on going pandemic. Not to say that the negative definitely rules out the positive by a long shot in this situation. I like most have been struggling to adapt to this new online stuff for school and its more than difficult but we have to keep a positive mindset about it. The dinning room at my work place being shut down taking 25% of our sales with it sucks trust me being the supervisor I cant see the effect it’s having on us as a business. Hours got cut and that sucks too but at least we have a job, at least we can still provide a Carryout and Delivery service to our community. I came up with the idea a few weeks ago to give all medical employees a 10% discount when they order from us and we even took free pizza over to the police station and the EMTs, ( last i knew We were looking into to bringing stuff to the hospitals as well). My sister and every senior (high school and college) being upset that they can’t share their accomp...

My sisters

Alright so we are told we have to talk about how Covid-19 has affected us and while it continues to wreak havoc on my life it has also ruined the life of my younger sister and many more just like her. My sister is a Senior at Churubusco High School and she like many others in the class of  2020. While she like the rest of us have to finish out the school year online and it sucks because she won’t see her teachers again and she won’t get to walk the halls of the school with her friends and her boyfriend again and while she’s hurt about that she’s even more hurt because she didn’t get to finish out her show choir season. In a previous blog I talked about how my sister and I both have POTS and how it affects her way more than it affects me and the last Show Choir comp they went to she was to sick to preform but she was okay not preforming because she had one more comp as well as the state comp but that was before this mess with Covid-19. She like the other seniors in show choir won’t ...

A little school and a little restaurant distancing

So as many of you already know, soon after spring break began we were told that our spring break would be extended to match with Purdue University’s spring break. That was all fine and dandy and we expected that we would return to campus after the two weeks were up and we would finish out the spring semester in person.  That’s not at all what happened. Soon after we were told that spring break had been extended we were told that we would not be returning to campus to finish out the semester but instead we would move to online classes. Now I don't know about any of you. There is a reason I don't take online classes and that’s because I’m afraid that I wont do the work or I’ll forget about the work or the biggest thing is I learn better face to face and hands on. Be that as it may the University is doing it to protect us the students and i respect that. Soon after the colleges made the call to shut down for the remainder of the semester the grade schools began to do it as well...

A chapter for a fanfic that I’ve written

Hi guys welcome back for week 6 the final week. So i wasn’t entirely sure what i wanted to write about this week so I asked my youngest sister who is a freshman in high school and she had read my first blog and pointed out that I had said something about how I enjoyed writing fanfic for the last 4 years. So she suggested that I post something from one of my stories off of Wattpad. She enjoys reading my story’s especially my Harry Potter Fanfic. So I choose my most read Harry Potter based story and i choose the most post popular chapter with in that story to share here with you guys for this week. "Come on" I yelled to my parents excitedly as I wheeled my cart full of my stuff across the plate form known as 9 3/4.  "Maddison you need to stop acting like a fool," my father said. We are one of the most well-known wizard families probably top 3 on the list. "Yes father," I said as I slowed my pace. "All aboard" the conductor yelled. ...

The Sister I Wished for

Image
Hey guys, welcome back for week 5. This week I’m going to take a dip into my siblings I know I’ve talked about them in previous blogs so here’s a little background info about them.  Be careful what you wish for because sometimes things come true but they aren’t always entirely bad the outcome i mean.  I have three sister one older, two younger but from the age of 3 til 9 i was the oldest child. I always wanted an older sister or brother but you don’t always get what you wished for. Unless your father had a unknown child when he got with your mother. For real that’s how it went. My older Sister was born in January of 1994 and my parents met and started dating in March of 1994 but my father had no clue that his ex was pregnant when they split up month before so he definitely had no clue that he had a daughter. In 2009 my older sister found my dad on MySpace ( i know it’s like a dinosaur version of Facebook) anyways my dad had mixed emotions so my mom made away for my ...

Harry Potter

Hey all welcome to week 4. I changed the font and style because... actually I’m not entirely sure why just got board. So anyways this week I’m going to basically talk about my love for Harry Potter.   Harry Potter. So as I said in my first blog I am a Slytherin a proud one for that matter. I took the official Harry Potter Sorting Hat quiz on Pottermore.com  . A lot of people don’t want to be in that house because it’s the house of the evil or whatever people say but it’s not entirely true. Slytherin’s are actually resourceful, cunning, ambitious, driven, focused on goals, determined, prepared, realistic, self-reliant, and so much more. Slytherin’s, however, are not disloyal or evil. My personal main reason i wanted to be a Slytherin is because of Draco Malfoy and Severus Snap they are my all time favorite characters throughout the entire series. I do have to admit something though. I’m only on book three. I’ve seen the movies a million times and i rewatch them all the ti...
