About Me

Hello! Welcome to my blog! This is my first ever blog so with that being said this will be an adventure for sure. To start with i will introduce myself. 

My name is Novella I am 20 years old, and i will be 21 in June. I am a third year student at Purdue Fort Wayne. I am a double major in English and in Secondary Education. I hope that after graduation I can become a High School English teacher. 

Growing up I moved around a lot, I was born in Columbia City and I moved to a small town in the state of New York, which is where my mom was born, and then we spent a little while in West Virginia as well. When my family and I moved back to Indiana I went to Whitko High School before finally finding my self in Churubusco where I graduated with the class of 2017. I have three sisters, one older and two younger sisters. My older sister Tiffany is 26 years old and she has three kids, my niece Chloe and my two nephews Lucas and Oliver. We didn’t meet my older sister until i was 10 making her 15 at the time. One of my younger sisters, Alexis in a senior in high school and is wanting to either go to Purdue Fort Wayne or Ivy Tech to become a elementary teacher. My youngest sister, Jasmine is a freshman in high school and she absolutely loves art. 

 

I live in Fort Wayne with my fiancé who i meet in middle school when i lived in West Virginia. He moved to Indiana a little over a year ago and we got engaged January 1^st 2019 and we are getting married in May of this year.

 We have two fur babies, a cat and a dog. Our cat is a little over a year old and her name is Sheeba, at first i wasn’t a big fan of her because i am far from a cat person but my fiancé insisted that we get her so we did and i fell in love with her. Our dog is a 9 ½ month old Corgi and his name is Apollo. We got him in May and he is training to be a service dog for my POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), I will talk more about POTS in a later blog. He is a certified Service Dog and wears his little service dog in training vest with pride. He thinks everyone is his friend which makes it hard to train him in stores right now because he was everyone’s attention. Apollo loves to go to my grandmas apartment building and see all the little old ladies, he’s kinda like a therapy dog at the apartments. 

On top of being a full time student at Purdue Fort Wayne I also work two jobs. My main job is finishing my degree but to pay for school I am a supervisor at East Of Chicago Pizza in Churubusco. I have been working at EOC since i was a senior in high school and have worked very hard to get to the position i am in. It is most definitely a challenge to be a female in that position, which can also be a later blog post. My other job is being a STAR (Student Admission Representative) in the administration office at Purdue Fort Wayne. I pretty much give tours and talk to students who are thinking about coming to Purdue Fort Wayne and tell the all about our fantastic Campus. This will be my first semester giving tours and I am going to be honest I am a little nervous about it but I am definitely ready for this new challenge that awaits me. 

I have three tattoos, one is for my grandpa who passed away from a heart attack when i was 6, i also have a cross tattoo on my wrist and a semi colon on my wrist as well. People ask me why i have the semi colon and it is because I have saved many people from suicide and it also reminds me to continue on because I like many others suffer from depression. A tattoo that is in the books for me is a tattoo for my great grandparents and as soon as i have the extra money I’m excited to get it in there honor. My older sisters step dad does my tattoos and he’s honestly the only person i trust to do my tattoos. 

I am a huge Harry Potter fan, I have all the books and the movies including Fantastic Beasts. I went to Harry Potter World spring break of my freshman year of college and i honestly never wanted to come home. I am a proud Slytherin! My sister Tiffany and my sister Alexis are Hufflepuffs along with my mom, and my dad and youngest sister Jasmine are Slytherins. My fiancé is a Gryffindor. Yes I may have made my entire family take the quiz on Pottermore.com. My nephew Lucas is 2 years away from taking the official test on Potter more and my older sister and I are literally counting down, he thinks we are nerds. My nephew Oliver is actually named after the twin that plays George Weasley in Harry Potter. I can probably make a blog all about Harry Potter now that I think about it. 

Real quick before i sign off of this post i want to say something else about myself. I enjoy writing stories Fan Fiction mostly at least lately. I love supernatural type shows, so i watch Vampire Diaries, The Orginals, Legacies, Supernatural, and Ghost Whisper. That’s all for now if I don’t stop i might actually start to ramble on about supernatural beings or Harry Potter.
